Paper Portal’s located in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle, just east of Capitol Hill.

At a compact 240 square feet, the bookstore strives to offer a selective variety of compelling, curated collections. Mostly used books, with occasional new titles too. The shop’s growing focus is on the fantastical: sci-fi, fantasy, speculative fiction, art, mythology, folklore + more.

The bookstore hosts book clubs, pop-ups, free book swaps, and other community events. Please check the upcoming events section on the homepage for more info.

Gift cards are available for purchase (in-store only). The bookstore also has free punch cards available: spend a total of $100+ over time and get $15 off your next order (in-store only). Punch cards can’t be redeemed for cash.
